What this catalog is for

Stones Don't Lie Press is the editorial identity for Yves Laurent's published work. The point: so the books can say what they need to say. No sponsors. No investors waiting on quarterly growth. No advertisers deciding what gets diagnosed and what gets papered over.

The catalog covers every title from the author — beginning with Las Piedras No Mienten in Spanish, extending through the UBI titles (The Generosity in the Doorway, The Universal Check), the free Stone Papers series of standalone archaeological dives, and books to come. One author. One editorial line. One standard.

A note on imprint visibility. Some titles publish under the author's full legal name (Ives Francois Laurent Noriega) rather than the imprint wordmark. That's an interim choice tied to Mexico's INDAUTOR editor classification rules — not a change in editorial line. The catalog is one catalog regardless of which publisher field a given title carries.

Legal and operational

Structure: Author-owned catalog. No third-party publisher claims editorial control or rights beyond contracted distribution.

Registrations: Each title is independently registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (USCO); Spanish-origin titles are also registered with INDAUTOR (Mexico). ISBN issuance through Bowker (English titles) and Agencia ISBN México (Spanish titles).

AI disclosure: When AI-assisted tools are used in research or drafting, each book's copyright page discloses how and where, per current KDP and academic standards.

No DRM: Catalog policy. PDFs and EPUBs ship without rights-management locks. Each title carries a "Sobre este libro / About this book" colophon explaining why.

Editorial adaptation, not translation: Bilingual titles ship as adaptations between Spanish and English, not literal word-for-word translations. The thesis and structure are identical; idioms, contemporary references, and rhetorical voice follow each language's academic tradition.

Submissions: The catalog does not accept outside submissions. It exists to publish the author's own work — not as a general-purpose press.

Stones don't lie.

Neither, with enough care, do books.
