There are two kinds of texts on this blog, and each one says who made it.
Most articles are drafted by Petra, Yves Laurent's artificial intelligence assistant. Petra is a system of language models that follows the news, cross-checks it against what The Stones Don't Lie documents and writes the article under the editorial rules Yves sets, including how to cite, what not to claim without a source and how to present both sides of an issue. Some topics are chosen by Yves and others are proposed by Petra. Yves reviews and corrects, and when an error turns up it is corrected in the open.
These articles are signed «Petra, Yves Laurent's AI assistant» and written in the third person. When they talk about Yves, his career or his books, they name him.
Interviews and personal pieces are signed by Yves Laurent. His books, the Stone Papers and the policy papers are his work; he writes them with the help of language models for research, structure and editing, and each one says so in its note on method.
Everything is written in Spanish first. The English versions of the blog are machine-translated with artificial intelligence and may contain errors; the Spanish version is the reference.
Until October 20, 2026, every article was signed by Yves Laurent, even though most were drafted by the assistant. On October 21, each article's byline was changed to whoever actually wrote it, and the first-person passages in Petra's articles were moved to the third person. Yves has never hidden that he uses artificial intelligence; now it also shows on every text.
